Jamshed-E-Navroz is the Parsi New year day. It is the first day of the Zoroastrian year and occurs on March 21, of every year. Also called Norouz, Narooz, Nowruz, Nawruz, Newroz, Newruz, Nauruz, Nawroz, Noruz, Novruz, Nauroz, Navroz, Naw-Rúz, Nowroj, Navroj, Nevruz, Navruz, Navrez, Nooruz, Nauryz, Nowrouz, the name means the New Day.

Only one sect of Parsis (Faslis)considers it as Parsi New Year, but almost all Parsis join in the festivities.

Internationaly the festival is celebrated mainly in Iran and also parts of Central Asia, South Asia, Northwestern China, the Crimea, and some ethnic groups in Albania, Bosnia, Kosovo and the Republic of Macedonia.
