India’s only F1 driver, Narain Karthikeyan has ruled himself out of any return to the sport with Force India Team currently owned by Vijay Mallya.
Narain Karthikeyan was the first Indian driver ever to race a Formula 1 car with silverstone based Jordan F1 team, who’s current owner Vijay Mallya suggested recently that Karthikeyan is not good enough to now come back and fly the flag for their country.
The A1 GP driver slammed the Force India team as little remains of his former uncompetitive employer.
“I spent a frustrating time with Jordan, where I had a car that just could not perform. I have no desire to be with another pedestrian team that is low on performance and loud on talk,” Karthikeyan said.
“I have never even approached Mallya. The vibes from the camp have been extremely negative and I want to make it clear that I am not interested in driving for Force India.”
The former F1 driver also took a jibe on Formula one by claiming “machine matters more than man” at whats considered to be the pinnacle of single seat motor racing.
When asked to respond on Karthikeyan’s comments, Vijay Mallya said: “Everyone is welcome to their reviews”.
