There is a very good news for all the state government employees of Haryana. The state government has decided to implement the recommendations of Pay Revision Committee ( PRC ) and revise the pay scales of around 3.5 lakhs employees. The pay revision will be effective from January 1, 2006. The employees will get revised salaries from January, 2009 and 40% of the arrears for 2006-2008 will be paid in cash in the year 2008-2009 itself.
Haryana will be the first State in the country to implement the report of the sixth pay commission, according to State's Finance Minister Birender Singh. The revision of the pay scales of the employees, will add net additional burden of Rs.6431.26 crore in the year 2008-09 and 2009-10.
